In 1968, what started as one fathers dream became a sonís reality. Charles McCulley was interested in Mortuary Science at the young age of 14. He would often lend a hand around the local funeral home in Pocatello, Idaho during his high school years and later went on to serve in the United States Army. Charles attended Mortuary Science School upon finishing his service in the US Army and he later graduated from San Francisco School of Science. It was this love and passion that Mr. McCulley passed on to his eldest son Franklin who became an acute apprentice to his fatherís profession. Charles McCulley has owned and operated the Angelus Chapel Funeral Home in Pueblo, CO since 1968 and also in the Colorado Spring, CO area in the 1970ís and 80ís.
His son Franklin following in his fathers foot steps became interested in the Mortuary Science practice and also served his country by serving in the United States Navy. He later enrolled and graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Services School upon his completion of service from the US States Navy. After successfully graduating from Mortuary Science School Franklin became a licensed embalmer in the State of California. Franklin honed his skills as an Embalmer for Shane Professional Services for funeral homes in Los Angeles, CA. He quickly excelled at his new profession at funeral homes Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuaries, Forest Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuaries and Angelus Funeral Home. The reality of a vision became apparent when Franklin opened Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory in Colorado Springs, Co in 1995.
